The Boomerang Employee, a Noblis Homecoming

Sometimes life has a funny way of reminding you where you belong.

While unpacking what felt like the hundredth moving box after relocating back to the area, I stumbled upon a relic from my past, my Noblis exit interview paperwork from 2014. Naturally, I had to read it.

Question #6: "Would you consider returning to Noblis at a future date?"

My answer: "Yes!!! When I learn and develop my skills more and become a true expert!"

Three exclamation points. I was clearly serious.

Question #7: "How would you characterize your overall experience at Noblis?"
With checkboxes ranging from Excellent to Poor, I checked Excellent, no hesitation.

And here's the thing: most people leave a company and never look back. Some might even say they left because they hated it. Not me. I came back because of how great my experience was from 2011 to 2014. When a workplace earns an "Excellent" from you on the way out the door, it tends to pull you back in.

It's been a long road to get here, full of trials, challenges, overcoming doubts and persevering through it all, and most importantly, growth. I set out to become a true expert, and I put in the effort and work to make that happen. So, when the opportunity arose to return, it felt less like a career move and more like a homecoming.

I'm thrilled to see familiar faces and equally excited to meet new ones and build relationships. I can't wait to bring everything I've learned on my journey (back) to the Customer Experience team, and to be the colleague people can lean on when they need an expert in the room.
